This certification course is an advanced training taught by high-conflict expert, Bill Eddy, LCSW, Esq., co-founder and CINO of the High Conflict Institute, that describes the surprising and predictable patterns of behavior of five high conflict personality disorders, with effective methods for ethically managing them in legal disputes, both in and out of court. Several skills are provided for managing legal clients, opposing parties, and the negative advocates they often persuade to join them in their disputes. Many predictable problems are discussed and numerous tools for managing and resolving them, including:

Bill Eddy, LCSW, Esq. is a lawyer, therapist, mediator, author, and Chief Innovation Officer of the High Conflict Institute. For fifteen years he was a Family Law Specialist Certified by the State Bar of California. He pioneered the High Conflict Personality Theory (HCP) and has become an expert on managing disputes involving people with high conflict personalities. He was the Senior Family Mediator at the National Conflict Resolution Center for 15 years, and a licensed clinical social worker therapist with over 12 years of experience.
Bill serves on the faculty of the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine University School of Law in California and is a Conjoint Associate Professor with the University of Newcastle Law School in Australia.
He has been a speaker and trainer in over 35 U.S. states and 13 countries. Having written 20+ books and developing several methods for handling high-conflict disputes, Bill’s expertise is unmatched. He has a blog on Psychology Today with over 6 million views and a popular podcast called It’s All Your Fault.
