The Method:
New Ways for Families is a method of teaching and reinforcing four simple conflict resolution skills for parents and children. For families going through a separation or divorce, the skills focus on helping co-parents—even high-conflict co-parents—work together in making decisions and managing their lives as much as realistically possible. The goals are to help them stay out of court, to help them save money by making their own joint decisions and reducing their conflicts, and to protect their children as their families re-organize in new ways.
The most difficult parents:
New Ways for Families is designed to help even the most difficult parents, so it is taught in several different formats. The model contained in this Online Coaching Manual is designed to accompany the 12-session online units of the Parenting Without Conflict® class in the U.S., the Post Separation Parenting Course in Australia and any other programs who are licensed to use New Ways for Families. While many parents simply take the online class, we believe the use of a coach can significantly enhance their learning experience, especially in terms of practicing the skills they are developing.
Benefits of Coaching:
You are encouraged to practice the skills with your client, or “coachee.” Since many of these skills are about interpersonal communication, you can really help your client by participating in role-play exercises, as will be described in this Digital Coaching Manual.

Becoming a Licensed New Ways for Families Provider:
This manual is used in conjunction with Coaching. To become a NWFF Coach you must be licensed. To become a Licensed New Ways for Families Coach - please enroll in one of the upcoming trainings we have via livestream. Once you complete the 4 hour training we will be able to license you and you can start coaching.
